Everything we publish is legal information: general explanations of how divorce law works, typical processes and timelines, and procedural options. We cannot tell you what you specifically should do in your case. Only a licensed attorney can do that.
This product is a computer software product within the meaning of Texas Government Code §81.101(c). It is provided with the express statement that it is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney.
What the AI assistant does and does not do
Our AI tools may help you organize information, do arithmetic from numbers you enter, draft documents you ask for, and explain how things generally work. They will not:
- recommend a course of action for your facts,
- predict the outcome of your case, or
- interpret the law as applied to you.
If you ask a question that requires legal judgment, we will route you to a licensed attorney instead of answering.
When you connect with an attorney
When you choose to share your dossier with an attorney through SplitKind, that attorney becomes your service provider, not SplitKind. Your relationship with them, including any advice they give, is governed by the rules of the State Bar of Texas.
How we get paid
SplitKind charges a flat fee when a couple chooses an attorney on the platform. We never take a percentage of any attorney’s case fee. This keeps us compliant with the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct.
